Highway Robbery Near Omega Road Reported at Noon
J L Glasgow was robbed about noon yesterday ten miles west of Kingfisher on the Omega road. Two men 25 to 30, one portly with smooth face and the other slight with mustache, leaped from a buggy and rifled Glasgow’s pockets taking about eight dollars. The robbers fled west as Glasgow rode to Kingfisher and sheriff’s men began efforts to arrest them.

Copper fount explosion kills bottling works manager in Mineola
May 11 Mineola Texas a copper fount exploded during gas charging at a bottling plant. The upper half struck manager William Watkins in the face, killing him instantly. His neck and facial bones were crushed. The blast sent him ten feet into the air and the lower half of the fount ripped through the floor. Watkins had managed the works for about fifteen years and was regarded as an exceptionally good manager.
