Greenville Texas May 12 W R Hendrix of White Rock accidentally shot himself in the hip Friday and is laid up with a severe wound. It was not learned how the accident occurred.
It was learned today that the case of Margaret Babcock and others against the Capitol Freehold Land and Investment Company will be transferred to Dalhart for renewed court action. The Farwells of Chicago are principal defendants, and the involved property is valued at many millions.
John H. Connell died from a cut artery after a dispute with his son in Belton Texas. The elder Confederate veteran leaves a wife three sons two daughters and many relatives. He will be buried at North Belton cemetery at 4 30 this afternoon with services by Dr H A Bouslard.
San Angelo Texas May 12 The tax collector reports 1901 collections for the state 20868 50 dollars and for the county 30473 05 dollars totalling 51341 55 dollars with Tom Gregg named as collector.
At 1 o clock in the night, May RF cottages on Oak Street were burned. Occupants Susie Jester John Mace W F ders and John Campbell escaped with their household goods saved. The city valued at 6000 dollars and fully insured. The dead and the absent have no friends.
