Moulton Wins Opener In Eleven Inning Clash
In a Tri-County League opener Sunday at home Moulton defeated Eagle Lake 11 to 10 in eleven innings. Crim Hinton and Waddell for Eagle Lake and Koening Kosler Giesbers for Moulton pitched. W H Pundt of Moulton and a Eagle Lake umpire officiated. Moulton has no game next Sunday while Weimar visits May 19. Miss Minnie Lueke visited Schulenburg Sunday.

Nickel High School Closes After Eight Months
Nickel High School ends an eight month term on Friday May 3 with an eight act play Yimmie Yonson's job presented in the auditorium. A noon mutton barbecue was enjoyed. The school board thanks all who supported the annual picnic. The faculty was led by E M Dunn with Doris Cooper and Alberta Hull as assistants. Frances Knesek has moved to Fredericksburg to take a job.

Bone Key Dies 88 Pioneer Resident of Nickel Community
Bone Key 88 a pioneer resident of the Nickel community died about 1 o clock Friday morning May 8. His body was laid to rest in Stonewall cemetery Friday afternoon. He was next to the last member of Terry's Texas Rangers of the 8th Texas cavalry and served in the Civil War. He is survived by son H K Key and two daughters Mrs Jeff Hull and Mrs S J Foster, all of Gonzales County.
