Adam Schuetz Buried Monday in Catholic Cemetery

Adam Schuetz aged 59 years 11 months and 15 days died at a San Antonio hospital after weeks of illness. The funeral from his home in Moulton was conducted by Rev. Joseph Kopp with burial in the Catholic cemetery. Pallbearers included Paul Dietschke Henry Hoyer John Reindl Fred Janssen Frank Marko and A. J. Elster. He leaves a wife three sons Edmund Adolph Louis a daughter Alma a stepdaughter Mrs Richard Pohler three brothers Frank John Hermann and a sister Mrs Louis Walla. Distants attendees listed from Robstown Moulton Flatonia Weimar Waelder and Los Angeles.

42 Club Hosts Evening of Cards at Mrs Rehmet Home

The 42 Club and guests gathered at Mrs Vine Rehmet's home hosted by Mrs John M Meiners and Mrs Rehmet with seven tables for eight games. Erna Kozebue won ladies high score and a cake container, Ed Biehunko won men high score and a smoking set, and Mrs Frank Wagner Jr won guests high score with perfume. Refreshments included strawberry ice cream Angelfood and chocolate cake.

Dallas Trade Delegation Visits Moulton for Good Will Tour

About one hundred Dallas merchants visited Moulton on the twenty-ninth annual good will tour hosted by the Dallas Wholesale Merchants Association. Smith Leazar welcomed the group, Homer D Wade replied, and the Dallas Band performed as locals greeted the visitors. The tour lasted seven days, touched 90 cities, and covered roughly 1.40 miles.

Triple Birthday Celebration at Cuero

A large gathering at Henry Jaroszewski's Cuero home on Sunday April 27 celebrated the birthdays of Henry and Emil Jaroszewski and Lester Leo Jaroszewski. Fifty eight people attended with a chicken and pork dinner and a later lunch under big oak trees. Attendees included relatives from San Antonio Beeville Yoakum Shiner Cuero Moulton and other nearby towns.

Abilene Politician Blanton Seeks Unexpired Congress Seat

Thomas L. Blanton of Abilene announces candidacy to fill the unexpired term of the late R. Q. Lee. A former 12 year congressman who retired to pursue the U S Senate, Blanton says there are too many yes men in Congress. In last week's issue The Moulton Eagle announced candidacy for Precincts 2 and 6. F W Neskorik says he has taken a bookkeeping course and can speak English German and Bohemian. If elected he will turn his store over to his son Frank and asks voters to favor his candidacy.

The St Josephs Verein of Moulton plans the 82nd annual Catholic Staatsverband of Texas meeting for July 15 16 and 17 with an April 22 executive session in Moulton outlining the program. Bohemian Play Draws Crowd. Proceeds Total $98.35

The Bohemian play at St. Josephs Hall last Sunday drew a large audience and was enjoyed by all. Proceeds from the performance totaled $98.35 and organizers plan a repeat showing in Shiner Sunday night.

Seguin Students Present Notable Lutheran College Program

Seguin students from the Lutheran College at Seguin performed an instrumental and vocal program at Zion's Lutheran church in Moulton. Led by Prof. Gibson the 31 member choral club delivered solos duets and numbers to the appreciation of the congregation. Rev Wm Kraushaar spoke, and after the program dinners were hosted by the Moulton and Boursville Ladies Aid. The group also gave another concert in LaGrange that Sunday evening.

Will T. Bagby of Lavaca Dies in Houston Hospital

Lavaca county mourns the loss of Will T. Bagby who died in a Houston hospital April 3 from heart failure. The longtime Hallettsville native served as Lavaca county attorney and legislator, earning the title Lion of Lavaca. He is survived by his widow, one daughter Mrs. Sam Devall, two grandsons, five sisters, and a brother.

At a Friday afternoon gathering in the school auditorium the Parent-Teacher Association elected officers for the coming year.
