Nickel School Closes After Eight Months of Work
The Nickel School ended its eight month term with audience was held Thursday and Friday nights. A free barbecue for patrons followed the programs. Miss Agnes Kelly led the faculty with assistants Miss Johnnie McCaughn and Mrs. Elizabeth Quebedaux. The Thursday grades performed many songs and recitations, and Friday featured the three act comedy Lighthouse Nan with a cast including Icabah Buzzer Leslie Askey Moll Buzzer Mary Meneley Ned Blake Emil Svoboda Albert Viasak Charlie Culak Doris Cooper Injun Jim and others. John T. Thompson thanked teachers and the public for support as he recently joined the school board.
