Lavaca County reports total March of Dimes collections of 11 932 48 as of March 23 1953 including Moulton Sweet Home and Yoakum areas with specific communal totals and notes on remittances to DeWitt and National Chapters. half of the total was forwarded to the National Chapter while the Lavaca County Chapter retained the other half and additional reports may adjust totals.

Pauline Kresta Foster 41 died in sleep at home in Shiner on March 15. She left a husband Victor Foster and three children including Victor Jr and twins Annette and Jeanette. Burial followed at Shiner Catholic Cemetery after services at Shiner Catholic Church.
