Who Can Vote The Coming Bond Election

A person, who in addition to being a qualified voter in the County and Precinct in which he or she lives, must own taxable property in the County at the time of voting and must have duly rendered the same for taxation for State and County purposes for either the years 1917 or 1948.

Attend Hearing In Austin Tuesday

F. W. Hans and Frank Meyer attended the railroad hearing in Austin Tuesday. All towns between Yoakum and Waco had representatives at the hearing to voice protest against the discontinuance of passenger train service between these two points.

Moulton ISD Trustee Election Set for April 3

Two trustees for the Moulton Independent School District will be elected at an election to be held in Moulton Saturday April 3 at the city hall. George von Lienen will preside over the election with clerks George Baur and Anton Palitza. Louis Pietsch and G G Fisbetk are candidates for reelection.

Soft Ball Rules From Local Committee Meeting

The rules set include a $10 entrance fee a maximum of 15 members per team and designated captain and manager roles. Each team must supply a new ball five minutes before each game and provide their own equipment. Umpiring features two umpires head umpire and final decisions rest with the umpire. Games start on Tuesdays and Thursdays with a tentative May 4 kickoff.
