A year and three months after a disastrous fire in Moulton, residents urge reorganization of the town fire company. Drills waned after 1921, though former members remain willing. citizens are asked to cooperate, purchase gear, and be ready for emergencies.
In Cuero Judge E J Motis heard a complaint by Henry C Mylius Mrs Emma Wilcox and Mrs Jack Williams against Betty Mylius to produce three wills of Herman Mylius Sr The wills were filed with the county clerk and probate petitions filed naming Henry C Mylius executor without bond with cash bequests of 3000 2000 and 1000 plus an equal share of the estate residuary estimated at 1000 Yoakum Times
In Rockdale Texas Lavinia Alford seven daughter of Tom Alford in Hicks community was dragged to death when a gentle old mare tied by a proposed ankle tie dragged her across a pasture. The mare jumped a fence and the child’s neck was broken as the mare’s tail dragged her for several hundred yards. Others present were playing nearby when the plan was discussed.
Schulenburg Texas March 9 state bank examiner visited Schulenburg to study the need for a proposed Farmers State Bank. Local comment says Schulenburg as the county’s largest trading town can support three banks. O F Knape and daughters Mildred Bernice Mabel and Miss Etta Koester of Moulton attended the Gonzales County Inter scholastic Meet at Waelder Friday. Louis Ehlers cigar manufacturer of Shiner visited Moulton Saturday to talk with business men and friends about his thriving local business.
