Bishop Morkovsky Beaten and Robbed at Home in Houston
Bishop John Morkovsky of the Galveston Houston diocese was attacked at his house on Friday night March 8 losing sight in his left eye. Police hunt two men described as in their 20s with one wearing a red gray pullover and the other in dark clothing. Miss Lily Linhart, the bishop’s long time housekeeper, aided the emergency response as doctors performed a full left eye enucleation. The bishop remained in fair condition at St Joseph Hospital with an expected stay of five to six days.
