Miss Evelyn Hons and Mark Oliver Hanna wed at the Parish House in Moulton on Saturday morning March 9 with Rev. Joseph Kopp officiating. Witnesses were Frank Hons and Victor Sanna. The bride, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Hons, grew up in Moulton and graduated from Moulton High School in 1944. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hanna of Gonzales. he recently received an Army discharge. A wedding dinner and supper followed at the bride’s home.

The Moulton Lions Club held a regular meeting at the home economics cottage with hostesses Marian Brom, Dorothy Manning, and Marjorie Papacek. E. J. Etlinger joined as a new member and Lions Etlinger spoke on club work and cooperation. BE, A. Oehl, and Gus G. Fisbeck earned keys for adding over two new members. Guests included Edward Bond, M. G. Schroeder, and E. A. Uecker. The next meeting is set for March 22.
A fire reported at Baursville teacherage Friday morning was quickly put out by John Beck, school principal, and several pupils, with the roof damage kept minimal. The Moulton Fire Department booster truck responded to the call around 10:30. A spark from the flue is presumed to have started the blaze.

Lt. Lawrence Taylor Biehunko, formerly a B 29 pilot from Moulton, will pilot a plane in the Atom Bomb test in the Pacific Ocean. He is stationed at Clovis, New Mexico, and received his pilot wings at Kelly Field on April 29, 1942.

An aerocade will advertise the Victory Tomato Tom Tom in Yoakum on June 13 14 15. Thirty towns will be covered by air in a few hours replacing the previous two day automobile motorcade. A siren on a plane will herald the approach and leaflets will be dropped with planned stopovers.
The Texas State Historical Association offers a $25 prize in the 1946 Junior Historian Writing contest for papers on the Texas Gulf coast. The winner may also compete for the $100 statewide prize.
