The Moulton Eagle publishes candidate names for the May 1 1976 Democratic Primary. For Constable Precinct 6 Lavaca County the slate includes JOE NIETO Re Election LOUIS DREXLER and WILLIAM L. BILL SCHWENKE. For United States Congress Texas 10th District the nominees are J. J. Jake PICKLE and TIM VON DOHLEN.
Mr and Mrs Emil Beran spent the weekend in Alice visiting Mrs Berans cousins Mr and Mrs George Walt and family and Fred and Charles Scharnberg.
The St. Joseph's Altar Society met after the 1 45 p m Mass with 25 members. Mrs Dar win Vasek presided Father Schmidt led prayer and minutes were approved. Easter flowers will be ordered donated by Miss Mary K Steinacher in memory of her parents. The Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women meets March 20 21 in San Antonio at Anthony's Hotel.
Mr and Mrs Johnnie R Berry spent Sunday in Yoakum with Mr and Mrs Lester C Zimmermann and sons Randy and Ricky. They also visited with Mr and Mrs N L Garrett and family.
The schedule lists Bobbatz baseball games from March to May 1976 with opponents Bastrop St Pauls Shiner Flatonia Schulenburg Somerville Burton and Somerville again. Games are set for 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. with double headers on several dates. The district games conclude the season.
The Texas Coordinating Commission on State Health and Welfare Services met at the Capitol on February 11 and 16 to review Health Systems Agency applications and advise Governor Briscoe on conditional designations. They recommended denial for all Dallas Fort Worth area apps, urging restudy with strict criteria and resubmission for a second HEW review cycle.
