Yoakum Halletsville Highway Bridges To Be Widened Soon

Sealed proposals for widening 1.487 miles of Lavaca County structures on US 77 and 77A between Yoakum and US 90A will be accepted until 9 00 AM March 16 1960. Work includes widening Lavaca River Bridge to a 44 foot roadway with two 46 inch sidewalks and replacing the truss with a Plate Girder Span. Plans are available from the Resident Engineer in Yoakum and the Texas Highway Department in Austin.

Russell Fisbeck two year old son of Mr and Mrs Francis Fisbeck returned home Wednesday after a six day confinement in the Renger Hospital in Hallettsville. He is reported doing fine.

Final Rites Held For C. C. Miculka

Charles O. Miculka age 84 of Smithville died February 20 at Bas trop hospital after brief illness. Funeral at Marrs Chapel February 22 with Presbyterian minister Rev. Peacock officiating. Frank Koenig Sr Buried in Floresville

Frank Koenig Sr of Floresville died Thursday at Jour danton Hospital after a long illness at age 83. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 50 p.m. at the Floresville Lutheran Church with burial in Floresville Cemetery. Survived by twelve children 36 grandchildren 29 great grandchildren and three sisters Mrs Emil Pundt of Moulton Mrs Emilie Henrichs and Mrs Paul Scott of San Antonio.
