Winter is best for pruning most plants as it stimulates new growth. Narrow leaf evergreens like arborvitae and pines are pruned in winter. broad leaf evergreens and late spring bloomers are pruned then too. Cutting back certain shrubs can preserve next year’s blooms and berries while shaping plants early reduces heavy wood removal later.
Edmund Wagner of Corpus Christi and son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wagner of Moulton has completed diesel engine work training at Utilities Engineering Institute in Chicago. He finished with a fine academic record and strong shop practice on various diesel equipment after nearly a year of study.
