Shiner killing linked to Gonzales shooting death chain
A Gonzales County murder charge against Hayward Harper 26 of Gonzales follows a revenge shooting at the Honeydrop Tavern in Gonzales that left Maurice Steemer 24 of Shiner dead. The case ties to the May 14 stabbing of Harper's brother Depthome Dilworth 18 of San Antonio outside a Shiner tavern. Harper remains jailed on 50,000 bond while Steemer had faced murder charges and a prior attempted murder bond. The事件 also saw the death of Harper and Dilworth's mother Vera Harper 52 of Shiner from a heart attack during transport. Funeral plans and survivals are listed for Dilworth and Harper family members. Funeral homes are coordinating services.
