Two Mothers Killed by Lightning and Car Strikes
In Florida and Mississippi a pair of fatal incidents left mothers dead while their babies survived. Mrs G C Wilhite 23 of New Albany Mississippi died after being struck by a car while carrying her 6 month old boy. Mrs Harvey King 25 of Dade City Florida was killed when lightning struck an oak tree she and her son Ronald had just examined the tree of lightning two days earlier. The baby was uninjured.

Local VFW Auxiliary Supports Gonzales Warm Springs Film
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Texas approved a 16 mm five to six minute film promoting the Gonzales Warm Springs Rehabilitation Foundation. Wenzel Hoepil 70 Dies After Long Illness
Wenzel Hoepil known as Jim Hoepil dies July 22 at 11:25 am in Blue Bonnet Rest Home after eight years of ill health. He was 70 years 10 months and 11 days old born in Fayette County son of John and Johanna Hoepfl. Survived by wife Martha two sons Reinhold and Adolf, daughter Sadie Polasek, ten grandchildren, siblings Bertha Hirsch and Rudolph Freytag and brothers John and Otto Hoepfl. Funeral were at Smith Funeral Home July 24 then St. Josephs Church with interment in Moulton Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers listed.
