Austin July 21 The automatic tax board set a state ad valorem tax rate of 72 cents on the 100 valuation, up from 37 cents. Taxes are payable October 1. Plane Crash Takes Two LaGrange Men
Dr Edwin R Zorcek 31 killed instantly and Jim Kania 38 of Houston fatally injured in a La Grange area plane crash Sunday afternoon. Kania died at hospital Monday. The two seated plane spun and crashed in a field. Dr Zorcek buried in LaGrange new cemetery Monday with Rev S A Zientek officiating. He is survived by wife parents two sisters and four brothers.
