San Benito, Tex. reports its first bale of cotton was ginned on Wednesday. The county area has transformed from cactus and brush to a growing cotton district with about three thousand bales expected from the San Benito tract this year.

The 38 year old child of Mr and Mrs Charles Robinson died Wednesday from lockjaw Doctors said the bite by a dog several days earlier led to the fatal illness. The child was moved to Seton Infirmary after its condition worsened.
