Pictured are two steer projects for the Moulton FFA and 4-H Stock Show on April 1. John Barfield trains a Charolais-Brahman cross steer and an Angus steer from Rosharon Farms. Perry Kram trains a Beefmaster-Angus cross steer. Both are FFA members.
Moulton Branch 13 of Hochheim Prairie Farm Mutual Insurance Association met January 10 at 7 30 P M in the Branch Office. President Frank Darilek led the session with reports by Evelyn Dari lek and John Schroeder. The office on Highway 95 now serves residents three days weekly.
Kathy Zidek was named to the Smithville J.V. All Tournament Team marking her third such honor this year. Earlier awards included a trophy from Burton and the same recognition at Moulton. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Zidek.
Sixteen first through second graders from Moulton visit the local post office in a career education study. Guided by Postmaster Gene Hinch and Sweetie Dari Lek, the students learned postal jobs, mailed a letter, and traced its journey.
The Moulton Eagle invites area children to be photographed as Citizens of Tomorrow in living color. An expert photographer will capture portraits Monday Feb 7 between 11 am and 7 pm for a black and white newspaper print. No charges, no strings, no subscription required. Parents may arrange color prints through the studio representative.
Mrs Julia Nicholson of here was honored with an official invitation to President Jimmy Carter's Inauguration on January 20. The invite listed two events the Inaugural Ceremony at 11 30 a m and the Parade along Pennsylvania Avenue at 1 30 p m. She could not attend due to pressing matters.

George Pavlas at Diagnostic Hospital Houston undergoing tests since January 11. Mrs. Mary Kocian returns to Shady Oak Nursing Home after Shiner Hospital stay. Mrs. Katie Brueggmann back at Shady Oak after Youens Hospital stay. Families visit in Dallas and Houston. Pete Machart home from St Joseph Hospital after six days treatment and earlier Renger Hospital stay.

Farmers and Merchants State Bank of Moulton Texas announces that starting February 1 1977 monthly checking account statements will be retained at the bank for personal pickup. Statements will be prepared and ready for pickup on or about the same day previously mailed.
Mr and Mrs Edgar Freytag longtime residents of a farm east of Houlton have moved to 408 Morris St Yoakum with Mrs Agnes Kubenka who marked her 90th birthday on January 21 Granddaughter and Houston family joined the observance and spent the weekend at the new home Lee J Barcak of Flatonia now resides at the Freytag home in Moulton.
Friday morning January 21 at 8 00 a 1971 Ford driven by Dennis Barta and a 1970 Ford driven by Frank Nieto both of Moulton collided. There were no injuries.

Karen Bohuslav and Barbara Brom shown as senior varsity guards and forwards with noted numbers 22 23 and 30 3, Elaine Pavlicek joins as Sophomore guard wearing 40 41, and Jennifer Jalufka is a four year varsity forward wearing 44 45S.
Shady Oak Nursing Home Inc held its 13th annual meeting on January 19 1977 at City Hall. Directors elected for 1977 were Emil J Beran Edwin F Darilek Francis Fisbeck Hugo Fisbeck Arnold Freytag Julius Jasek James Kolar Johnnie Maresh William Meyer and Frank J Wagner Jr. Officers elected were President Arnold Freytag Vice President Emil J Bevan Secretary Frank J Wagner Jr and Treasurer Hugo Fisbeck.
