Moulton Home Demonstration Club Christmas Party

The Moulton Home Demonstration Club held its annual Christmas party on Sunday December 20 at the president Miss Evelyne Dietsche's home. New member Elenora Pavias joined as guests Sylvia Gertner and Mrs E A Pietsch attended. A brief business meeting followed by tree games ended with a lunch and prizes for high scorers Mrs Hugo Fisbeck and Mrs E R Pietsch. The next meeting is set for January 18 1937 with new officers in charge.

Lavaca County Commissioners vote to post a 100 dollar reward for the arrest and conviction of the slayer of Chas O Riske night watchman of Moulton killed eighteen months ago. Dr J C Henderson 82 Dies in Waelder

The oldest practicing physician in the area, Dr J C Henderson, aged 82, died in Waelder last week Tuesday. Burial was in Waelder. He lived there about 45 years and is survived by three daughters Mrs J C Rochell Mrs H S Ewing and Mrs W W Wilkinson and two sons Tom Henderson and John M Henderson.

Gonzales Museum Work To Start January 4

Work on the Gonzales museum, a Texas War for Independence site, will begin January 4. The project costs $49,976 and Walsh & Burney of San Antonio received the contract, announced by Julian Montgomery, state director of the Public Works Administration, in Fort Worth.

John Pohl Dies At Hallettsville

John Pohl, 55, died at Hallettsville on Monday December 21 and was buried the next day. Surviving are his widow and five children: Joe, Louis and Henry Pohl of Hallettsville, Emil Pohl of Beanview, and Mrs Frank Steffek of Hallettsville.
