Farm Bureau To Hold Queen Contest In Texas
The Texas Farm Bureau will sponsor a state Queen Contest to honor farm and ranch girls with a prize package including an all expense paid trip to the national convention in Chicago. District winners receive watches and travel funds. the state queen and matron escort get $500 for national event. Contestants must be 16 by Sept 1 1953 and under 22, daughters or sisters of members, single, and county sponsorship required.

Sale of Herefords At Columbus Friday
Gulf Coast Hereford Breeders Association holds its 3rd annual sale at Columbus on February 20 at 1:00 p.m. The showing starts at 9:00 a.m. at the Gulf Coast sale barn in American Legion Park with cover for weather. Fifty-six bulls and females will be sold to cattlemen across the Gulf Coast area.
