Kuropatkin dispatch reports February 12 Japanese cavalry attacked a bridge damaging the railroad. Train service resumed after delay. Japanese siege guns bombarded Poutiloft hill and Seheyan on February 11 with one officer killed and several wounded. From January 25 to 29 Japanese prisoners totaled 243, 221 unwounded.
James Shotty of Shreveport died at Charity hospital Sunday night from a gunshot wound suffered in a dispute at Rawall La about three weeks earlier. He had seemed to recover but relapsed. The assailant’s name is unknown.

Henry Hall of Ponca City, a wealthy cattleman, was found frozen to death near Ponca while driving. Charles Williams was found yesterday frozen stiff. Hundreds of cattle across Western Oklahoma also died from the freezing conditions.
