Charles A. Mueller died Monday morning at his home north of Moulton. His body was laid to rest Tuesday afternoon in the Lutheran cemetery with funeral services conducted by Rev. G. Rapp. He was born in Silesia Germany in 1826 and is survived by his wife and three children Charles Mueller of Moulton H W Cook of Smithville and Mrs A F Richer of Gonzales.

W. O. Mewes, a prominent local businessman and junior partner in the Wendtland Mewes Store, died of heart failure after midnight chest pains.
