The Lutheran Sunday School classes and choir presented a Christmas program at Zion's Church on Thursday night December 23. The shown sound picture "The Child of Bethlehem" was presented by Mr. Schorre of Cost Texas.
The University of Texas Package Loan Library serves as a state information network supplying topics from river uses to visual education. In the last year 29 135 package libraries reached 983 Texas towns in 247 counties, with 1 441 books 4 880 club outlines and 299 266 pamphlets and periodical clippings circulated to schools women s clubs county agents and individuals.
Mrs. Stanley Walters returned to her home in San Diego California on Monday after attending the funeral of her sister Miss Etta Schraer. Miss Lillian Hoyer and Tommie Hoyer of Brenham vacationed in Moulton with their mother Mrs. Julia Hoyer during the holidays.
New postal rates go into effect January 1 affecting parcel post and special delivery packages while first class mail newspapers magazines library books and many publications are exempt. Money orders will nearly double and registered mail rises are substantial with higher fees for heavier items.

Mr. and Mrs. A H Tyler spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Otis Ray in Elgin.
The Prairie Lea Indians defeated the Moulton Bobkatz 36 to 27 at the local gym Wednesday night December 22. West led Prairie Lea with 19 points while Bravenec paced Bobkatz with 8. The Bobkatz next host Hallettsville Brahmas for their district opener on Friday December 7.
A long list of out of town relatives and friends attended the funeral of Miss Etta Schraer in Moulton. Names span Texas cities including Rowena Vancourt Schulenburg Wilson Victoria San Antonio LaGrange Weimar Houston Corpus Christi and Waco with many spouses and children noted.
Mr and Mrs Harry Meyer of Houston spent the Christmas holidays with Mr and Mrs J L Meyer and children, sharing time during the festive period.
