Lavaca County tobacco sellers must file with the War Price and Rationing Board by January 1 1945 the base period selling price for each cigarette brand. Base prices are those charged in March 1942. If not in operation in March 1942 file a base price from the nearest competitor. The list must be signed in ink or indelible pencil by the owner or authorized agent.
County Clerk D L Hudson of Hattsville visited Moulton on business. Mr inton Kolar, Mrs Myr tle Reindl and daughter Bonnie Lou were in Schulenburg. Colleen Fehrenkamp of Houston visited the Fehrenkamp home.
The Baursville PTA met on Thursday December 7 to organize the Christmas program set for Friday December 22 at 8 o'clock. All residents are invited to attend and meet Santa Claus.

Miss Jewell Sockwell, student at Mary Hardin Baylor College, Denton, spends Christmas holidays with her parents Mr and Mrs Pren Sockwell. She traveled via San Antonio on her way home.
Tax Assessor-Collector John L. Smolik will be in Moulton on Friday and Saturday January 5 and 6 to assess state and county taxes for 1945.
Mrs Johnnie Culak receives the Purple Heart Medal awarded to her husband Lt Sgt Johnnie Culak who gave his life in France during the battle.
The Evergreen school announces its Christmas program for Friday December 22 at 8 P.M. The public is cordially invited to attend.
