The Moulton VFW Post offers Santa Claus visits on Christmas Eve for local children. To schedule a home visit contact Mrs. Dennis Barta at 596-4925. Appointments must be made by Sunday, Dec 22.
City of Moulton announces trash will be hauled on Thursday December 26 instead of December 25 Christmas Day. Residents should place bins curbside accordingly.
Saturday at 5 p m a 1974 Oldsmobile driven by Calvin Pilat of Moulton was struck on the left side by a 1967 Chevrolet driven by Hg Doehring of Flate on West Second Street. Local law officers investigated.
The VEW and Auxiliary held a joint Christmas party on Sunday December 8 with Santa arriving at 2 00 p m to give out bags of goodies to children. A Dutch lunch and refreshments followed later in the afternoon.

John Rothbauer of Moulton a Lavaca County lifelong resident died December 10 at Shiner Hospital. Rites held December 12 at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Father Robert Schmidt officiating. Interment in Moulton Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers included grandson Ernie Novosad and nephews Alvin Gene Rothbauer Roland Adolph Proske.

The annual Christmas tree program on Front St held December 14 at 3 00 p m featured Christmas music and carols by local youngsters and elders. Santa Claus arrived on a Moulton Fire Truck and handed out goodie packages to children gathered by the large lit tree.

Sick List notes Mr Herbert Pavlicek is up and about after ten days in Shiner Hospital following injuries from an auto accident on Monday November 25. Mrs Adolph Kocian returned home from Shiner Hospital where she had treatment after December 7 in Moulton Volunteer Ambulance care. Mrs Kocian is doing fine. Mr Joe C Petrek was taken by Moulton Volunteer Ambulance to the VA Hospital in San Antonio Saturday evening for treatment, accompanied by sister Mrs Lexie Boehm.
The Kittens beat Ruswell Tivoli Redfish 45 42 in overtime after trailing 19 16 at halftime and 40 40 at regulation. Liz Chaloupka and Eunice Pavlicek led with 14 points each, while Lorrie Pavlicek Barbara Roznovsky and Dana Novosad starred on defense with 18 rebounds and 11 steals.

The Moulton School Board met December 11 in the Administration Building with President Daniel Jasek presiding. Members present included Thomas Hoyer Daniel Bohuslav Jimmy Holub Leslie Haas Marvin Jasek Alvin Kocian and Gene Selzer. Principals R L Orsak Kenneth Fishbeck and secretary Mrs A W Tilinger attended. Minutes of previous meetings were approved and the financial report was reviewed. The board approved moving to the quarter system for the 1975 76 school year.
Betty J. Hajek 71 of San Antonio a former Moulton native died Tuesday December 10 She belonged to KJZT and St Leo s Altar Society Survivors include her husband Alvin J Hajek daughter Jo Keil son Alvin R Hajek siblings and 10 grandchildren 5 great grandchildren Funeral Mass was held December 12 at St Leo s Catholic Church Mission Burial Park San Antonio
An oversight omitted thanks to Gonzales Savings and Loan Association for their generous contribution to the Moulton TPA Halloween Carnival. The Multon TPA expresses appreciation and acknowledges community support.
The American Legion Auxiliary held a Dec 4 meeting with good attendance. Minutes and treasurer report were approved. They voted 500 to fund a fence at the Post home and to buy 100 cards for the men. Santa distributed gifts and a supper followed. An executive session Dec 5 approved 580 for new tables. No January meeting. next is Feb 5, 1975.
The office of Dr H B Gee a chiropractor is closed due to illness. He hopes to return to part time practice after January 1 and will announce in this paper when he resumes full time work.
There will be Christmas specials at the Social to be held at the Catholic gym here Sunday December 22 beginning at 6 30 p m. Everyone is invited this Social which is sponsored by the Moulton Knights of Columbus.
Albert F. Schumann of Houston formerly of Moulton died December 11 at Rosewood Hospital Houston aged 68 years two months and seven days. He was born October 4 1906 in Moulton and married Amelia Pelech in St Josephs Church. Funeral services were held December 13 at 2 PM at St Josephs Church Moulton with Father Robert Schmidt officiating. Interment followed in Moulton Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers named Ramon Schumann Skip Valenta Willie Simper Jr Rudy Pelech Johnnie Ku Lee.
The Moulton Hermann Sons Lodge No. 59 will hold its regular meeting and Christmas Party on December 19 at 7:00 at the VFW Hall. Members are asked to bring a $2 gift for exchange. Food will be served by the Lodge.
