League Favors Fire Station

The Moulton Business Men's League met at the American Legion Hall with J. B Wilson presiding. They approved minutes and bills, adopted night watchman duties, and discussed building an adequate fire station with plans from the fire department. The league backed the project, pledged support, and to appoint a committee to plan financing. Tradesdays continue with a final event this Saturday and a 1937 continuation to be discussed.

Bridge Club Hosts Christmas Season Afternoon

Mrs Anton Meyer hosted the Tuesday Afternoon Bridge Club on December 15 charmingly. Seven games were played with Mrs Louis Pietsch taking high score and Mrs G G Fisbeck winning consolation. Lunch featured molded chicken salad with cranberry sauce, pickles, chocolate cake, pecan squares, and coffee.

The Sub-Deb Club met on Tuesday evening with Mrs. Louis Reind as hostess. Filling Station Changes Hands In Local Deal

Emil Jalufka sold his filling station at Moore Avenue and West Fleet Street to Fred Eilert who assumed charge Monday. The Texaco Service Station will be operated under the new ownership. Eilert previously ran a station at Shiner. The Eilerts moved into the Frank Bienanko Sr. cottage on West First Street.
