Wage and Bond Requirements for Moulton ISD Construction Bid

The notice calls for a performance bond of at least 100 percent of contract price and requires wages not less than the prevailing local rates set by the Moulton Independent School District Board of Trustees and the State Director PWA. Bids may be rejected if ambiguities in pricing occur. The labor scale lists skilled mechanics with a base rate of 15 cents per hour for carpenters, reinforced steel, cement finishers, and placer work.

Fire Department Elects Officers

The Moulton Volunteer Fire Department held its regular meeting at the American Legion Hall. F T Fehrenkamp presided as president and officers were elected including C Fehrenkamp as president and O F Knape as vice president. Fred F Fehrenkamp resigned as chief after serving the past year.

Moulton ISD Seeks Bids for Unskilled Labor Contract

The Moulton Independent School District invites bids for unskilled labor and common laborer work pending state director and PWA approval. Bids may be held 60 days, withdrawals not allowed 30 days. Texas high schools may offer Texas history starting spring term officials said Ben Tisinger chairman of the State Board of Education announced the program fits into the Centennial War and follows legislative actions authorizing teaching of Texas history in high schools. Herman Schoenfeld aged 22 years 7 months 17 days died Saturday morning at Seguin hospital from lockjaw after stepping on a nail while carpentering. Garlic Growers Hold Meeting in Moulton Section

Dr J J Taubenhauas and Alstedt from Texas A M College joined County Agent King meeting garlic growers Monday. Legislature allotted 3000 dollars to develop the garlic industry, and a resolution praising Gov Allred and Sen Sulak was adopted. Investiture Celebration Largely Attended

Rev. L. T. Netardus of Shiner was named Domestic Prelate in a Thanksgiving Day ceremony attended by a large statewide crowd. Bishop Arthur Crossaerts of San Antonio and visiting priests took part as a bell donated by Dr. Frank Wagner and family was blessed. State Senator L. J.
