Frank Hrnei of Komensky died at Shiner Hospital on Thursday November 27 after a ten day illness. Funeral services were held November 29 at St. Joseph's Church in Moulton with interment in Moulton Catholic Cemetery. Hrnei, born November 1883 in Moravia, was 64. He left a large family and held active roles in Komensky schools, PTA, Triple A, rural telephone cooperative, and the Moulton Catholic Church.
Eddie Pelech, a World War II veteran, died at Moulton Hospital on Monday November 24. Funeral services were held November 26 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Kopp officiating. Burial in Moulton Catholic Cemetery with military honors by Geier-Merrem Post American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Pallbearers and color guards named. services conducted by Oehl Funeral Home of Moulton. Survived by father Albert Pelech of Moulton and four brothers and three sisters. mother and several siblings predeceased.
The Moulton Bobkatz announce December games with Ganado Fayetteville and Garwood as opponents. The schedule includes a Dec 12-13 tournament here and dates at Gonzales Ganado Garwood.

Lt and Mrs Lawrence T Biehunko of Fort Walton Florida announce the birth of a son named Lawrence Terry on Thanksgiving Day. The mother is Leona Malee of Hallettsville and the father is Frank Biehunko Jr. of Moulton.
John Strieder celebrated his 74th birthday on Sunday with visitors from Miles and Cat Springs Texas. Attendees included Mr and Mrs A H Willberg Mr and Mrs Leo Schwertner and daughter Carol Jean of Miles and Mr and Mrs Joe Strieder and sons John Allen and Frank and daughter Margaret of Cat Springs.
Mr. and Mrs. John F. Ring spent Sunday at the home of Mrs. Sam Jaeggli. They arrived from El Paso and were en route to the Rio Grande Valley.
The Lions Club postponed its Charter Anniversary and Ladies Night due to the illness of president R B Papacek. The December 11 event was called off and the fall corn show was cancelled.
The Masonic Temple at Yoakum hosts a Dec 11 meeting for a class of candidates. Knights of Buckingham will oversee degrees with refreshments at seven and work at eight. Proceeds support the Masonic Children’s Home in Fort Worth. Master Masons in good standing may attend.
Mr and Mrs Erwin Haas announce the birth of an eight pound thirteen ounce girl at Strieder Hospital on December 1 at 1230 AM. The couple already has a son.
The program opened Wednesday morning at Moulton Public Schools with 355 children receiving shots against whooping cough and diphtheria. No further immunizations will be given until January. those who miss the first shot will receive the January and February dose.
Mrs. Frank Machac, sister of Mrs. Frank Miculka, died suddenly at her Houston home last week. Funeral services were held in Houston on Thursday, November 27, with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miculka and Mr. Ed Wotipka and family from Moulton in attendance.

Obituaries report the death of Dr. Thomas S. Hruska a prominent physician and surgeon from Austin and Lavaca Counties who died November 29 in Moulton after a nine day illness. Services were held at the Czech Moravian Church in Wesley with interment in Wesley Cemetery. Surviving are a daughter Mrs Alice Fort of San Diego two sons Lad Hruska of Moulton and Dan Hruska of the FBL Houston four grandchildren and eight other relatives.
Henry Schoenfeld died at his home in Moulton on Tuesday December 27 at 3 35 PM aged 63 years 3 months and 18 days. Services were held at St Josephs Church Thursday morning with burial in Moulton Catholic Cemetery. A full biography will appear next week in The Eagle.

Mrs G J Bohnenkamp nee Anna Frels died in her sleep at the family home in Moulton on Wednesday November 26 at age 73 years 3 months and 11 days. A Lutheran church worker and Sunday school teacher, she also served Lorbeeren Lodge 63 auxiliary and Sons of Herman. Survived by husband two daughters Mrs J W Nachlinger and Mrs Erich Brunkenhoefer both of San Antonio one son Henry Bohnenkamp San Antonio three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral held Friday at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev K Windecker officiating.

Mr and Mrs Ad Castro report the birth of a six pound eleven ounce son named Domingo Castro at Strieder Hospital on Saturday at 10 35 P M The birth increases the Castro family to five children now six
Mr. Johnnie Bravenec and family spent Thanksgiving Day in Nelsonville. They helped celebrate the fortieth wedding anniversary of Mr and Mrs Frank Susan, parents of Mrs Bravenec.
The Moulton Bobkatz defeated the Waelder Wildcats 38 to 36 after two overtimes in Waelder Gym. F. Fisbeck led Bobkatz with 11 points, followed by F. Kubenka with 9. Miksch scored 18 for Waelder. Bobkatz future game vs Ganado in local gym set for December 5 with a B team contest. Tournament lineup includes Garwood Fayetteville Gonzales Shiner Dowdy Waelder Flatonia Moulton.
