Humble Awards Mosher Steel Contract for Skyscraper

Humble Oil and Refining Co awards the 44 story office building and garage steel contract to Mosher Steel Co for about 40 million pounds of steel and 900 thousand square feet of decking. Erection expected eight to nine months starting mid next year on site bounded by Tra vis Milam Bell and Leeland. The garage sits on Milam Louisiana eland and Pease ends. The total project costs about 32 million dollars.

Lavaca County to Get $90,000 for Farm to Market Roads

The Texas Highway Department will spend 90 000 dollars in Lavaca County during 1960 to improve Farm to Market roads FM 530 and FM 532. District Engineer M G Cornelius of Yoakum announced the program, including base surface and seal coat repairs under local supervision.
