Mrs. Mary Rebecek widow of Jacob Rebecek died at her home near Moulton Sunday November 29 after a long illness. Funeral from the home Tuesday at 9 AM with services at St Joseph's Church Rev Joseph Kopp officiating. Interment in Moulton Catholic Cemetery. Born December 17 1865 she was 70 years 11 months and 12 days old. The Eagle extends sympathy.
County Superintendent Charles W. McDonald of Hallettshire was in Moulton Monday looking after business matters. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Pearson of Waco spent Thanksgiving Day in the home of Rev. and Mrs. C. A. Dickson. Frank Gray of Crystal City was in Moulton Tuesday visiting in the home of his brother in law, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Helweg.
Mr and Mrs George T McColough of Kansas City Missouri spent Thanksgiving Day in the home of Mr and Mrs E O Arnim.
Mr R M Arnold and Miss Edna Schultz of Yoakum spent Thanksgiving Day at the home of Mr and Mrs R B Papcek.
Mr and Mrs Ad Prases with Misses Annie Kasper and Erna Ullmann plus Frank Jemelka and Johnnie Brosch were in San Antonio Sunday for a social outing and gatherings.
Mrs Leona Merrem and her son Malvin returned Saturday from San Antonio where they visited in the home of Mr and Mrs D M White.
Mr and Mrs Roy Braurer travel to Shanghai China where he will shoot photographs for films. Mrs Braurer formerly Miss Mary Darilek is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Joseph F Darilek of near Moulton.
Mr and Mrs Joe Merecka and children and Miss Hermina Gert ner of Floresville spent the weekend with Mr and Mrs Frank Gertner and children, Mr and Mrs Fred Gaertner of Moulton and Mr and Mrs Stavarek of Yoakum.
Mrs Ewald Pietsch Mrs Emma Niemeyer and Mr Martin Ziehe with family of Seguin and Mr and Mrs Albert Spickermann of Skidmore visited the home of Mr and Mrs Henry Koester for Thanksgiving.
Mrs Arnold Wiedemann, a sales lady at J. T. Jaeggli mercantile, sprained her ankle trying to enter her automobile due to a slippery running board. Friends expect a rapid recovery so she can resume duties soon.

Dr. and Mrs. F. F. Heger departed last week for Livingston in Polk County to establish residence. They are wished health happiness and prosperity by many friends remaining in Moulton.
Ed Boehm accompanied Misses Ethel Mary Boehm Dorothy Jean Jaeggli and Virginia Valenta to Denton and Boyce Renmet to Austin Sunday.
Ermin F. Bohuslav of Moulton Route 1 has been chosen Honor Man of his company at the U S Naval Training Station San Diego for the week ending November 27 1936. He enlisted September 14 1936 in Houston and is training as a mapwarner in the navy.
Albert Jurena Jr a World War II veteran of Moravia died at Shiner hospital after a brief illness of blood poisoning. His funeral at 10 am Wednesday was conducted by Geier Merrem Post 392 American Legion with a flag presentation and firing squad at Moravia Cemetery. Survived by his widow four children and his parents Albert and Mrs Jurena Sr and siblings.
Miss Marguerite Boehm entertained the Sub-Deb Club and guests with a bridge evening. Miss Eunice Kopecky had high score, Miss Clara Knipling the cut, and Mrs. Oscar Shandera received the galloping prize. Refreshments included sandwiches jellied leaf fruit cake and whipped cream.
A barn on the Charles Hrock farm near Komensky was destroyed by a fire of undetermined origin Thursday night, November 26. The family was at the Komensky schoolhouse celebration when the blaze broke out. The barn and feedstuffs were a total loss.
The regular monthly meeting of the Moulton Fire Department will be at the American Legion Hall Monday night December 7 at 7 30. The annual election of officers will be held and other important business will be transacted. All active and honorary members should attend this last meeting of the year.

Sam and Will Moore Institute will dismiss classes Wednesday December 23 for the Christmas holidays. Classes resume January 4, 1987.
The annual Thanksgiving Day picnic at Komensky School drew a good crowd from Moulton and nearby areas. A bounteous dinner featured turkey chicken stew salads cakes and coffee. The afternoon offered volleyball basketball beano and a Migl-Vogt Band concert followed by a grand ball.
