Texas Cast Repeal Vote in 21st Amendment Move
Texas formally cast its vote today for repeal of the Eighteenth amendment. Delegates chosen in a state wide election last August were unanimous in directing that the state be certified for the Twenty first amendment to the federal constitution which removes the prohibition section from the fundamental law. Georgia Ann Johnson Pioneer Resident Passes Away in Texas
Georgia Ann Johnson of the Old Moulton area died at her home on Thursday November 23 after months of illness. Funeral services were held November 24 with burial beside her husband J C Johnson in Old Moulton Cemetery. She was 73 years old and survived by nine children, 50 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a brother J M Watkins.
