Baursville P T A Sees 94 Members

The Baursville Parent Teacher Association held a regular meeting Friday night. Minutes were approved and a Christmas program with Old Santa Claus was planned for December 22. A social gathering followed with games and lunch, boosting membership to 94 and aiming for 100. William Gertner joined the school board to fill the vacancy left by R J Vogt.

Mrs Zapalac Buried at St. Mary's Cemetery

Mrs. Charles Zapalac, 68, of Wied, died Friday after several weeks illness. Burial was at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery Sunday with Rev. Kolodsie and Rev. Kuratko presiding. Survived by her husband four sons and four daughters. The Eagle extends sympathy to the family.

Von All Weddin Willie Mikulik and Schwartz were married at the marine Catholic Church in Moravis day Rev Felimann performed the ceremony. The couple celebrated at the bride’s home with dinner and supper and a dance in Moravia. The groom is the son of Mr and Mrs Joe Mikulik of Moulton. the bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Joe Schwartz of Moravia. They departed Wednesday morning for San Angelo and other points. Texas Cast Repeal Vote in 21st Amendment Move

Texas formally cast its vote today for repeal of the Eighteenth amendment. Delegates chosen in a state wide election last August were unanimous in directing that the state be certified for the Twenty first amendment to the federal constitution which removes the prohibition section from the fundamental law. John Henry Kirby of Houston was elected chairman and Mrs James M Loving of Austin secretary.

German Little Theater Presents Die Spanische Fliege

The German Little Theater of San Antonio offered a three act comedy The Spanish Fly at Moulton High School Auditorium Sunday. Acting was first class and the audience applauded as the troupe under Dr H C Loebel received praise for its direction and performance.

Charles Krhovjak Buried at Praha

Charles Krhovjak, 28, died at Praha Saturday. Burial took place in the Catholic cemetery at Praha Saturday morning, Rev. Anders conducting the funeral services. The deceased is survived by his parents, several brothers and sisters. The Eagle tenders its sympathy to the bereaved survivors.

Georgia Ann Johnson Pioneer Resident Passes Away in Texas

Georgia Ann Johnson of the Old Moulton area died at her home on Thursday November 23 after months of illness. Funeral services were held November 24 with burial beside her husband J C Johnson in Old Moulton Cemetery. She was 73 years old and survived by nine children, 50 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a brother J M Watkins.

Moultonites Visit Louise Oil Well

Dr. Oscar A. Darilek and Joe E. Etlinger returned Sunday from a hunting trip to the lower country. They also visited the new oil well near Louise and report that the road of escaping gas and oil can be heard for miles. No one is permitted to close to the well.

A heavy charge rocked the countryside and snuffed out the fire at the Pure Oil Company oil well near Louise southwest of El Campo. The first blast failed to stop the blaze. the second charge extinguished the flames.
