A strike riot at the Pressed Steel Car Company works in Schoenville, Pennsylvania, results in the deaths of state trooper John L. Williams and deputy sheriff Harry Exler and injuries to several others including troopers and foreigners. Riot control forces used riot maces as mobs attacked gates and houses, with multiple arrests and an ambulance overwhelmed by the crowd.
