Uniform Texas Dove Hunting Rules Set for 1938 Season

Texas dove hunting regulations for 1938 tighten limits and hours while expanding federal waterfowl rules. Open seasons run Sept 1–Oct 31 in northern counties and Sept 15–Nov 15 elsewhere, with four weekly days south of the Rio Grande Valley. Bag and possession limits for mourning and white-winged doves are 15 total, no baiting allowed, and shotguns limited to No 10 shot with plugged capacity on repeating guns. New federal rules boost duck season to 45 days, with higher bag and possession limits across ducks, geese, and other species.
