The Catholic Ladies' Aid Society announces its next meeting will be held at Mrs. F. I. Fehrenkamp's residence on Wednesday April 23.
C L Stavinoha of Hallettsville asks voters to re elect him as county judge of La Vaca County in the upcoming Democratic primary. He notes long residence in the county and prior service as county attorney and legislator plus two years as county judge. He asks voters to remember him on election day.

A heavy gloom fell on Moulton as Randolph Mueller eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. H. F. L. Mueller died Sunday morning after a weeks long illness from an infection following a bruise. The Sam and Will Moore Institute student body viewed the body Monday before a funeral at the Lutheran Cemetery with Rev. E Hangemann presiding. Pallbearers included Donald Bunting Jesse Rehmer Jok Biehunke Oscar Shandera Herty Janl Kotzehue and Ale.
A school event marked by floral offerings and choral performances honored Randolph Mueller of Moulton born January 23 1908 who died at age 16. The Sam and Wi Moore Institute held a memorial with many relatives and friends attending from nearby towns and distant cities.
Both Moulton banks will be closed all day Monday in observance of San Jacinto Day. Customers are advised to plan transactions accordingly and note limited weekday services.
Mrs. O C Dittmar returns to Shiner Wednesday after a brief visit to her mother Mrs Anna Mollenberndt who recently sustained a leg fracture. Mrs Moellenberndt is getting along very nicely, we are pleased to report.
Five counties competed in the District Interscholastic Meet held in La Grange. Moultot contestants placed in tennis and declamation with Isabel Papacek earning two medals and Bernice Knape a second in senior girls' declamation.
George E Taraba son of Andrew Taraba a prominent farmer living miles east of town died Thursday morning at the local hospital. The service details were incomplete in the report.
The funeral was held Friday at 10 from the Jaeggli residence with interment in Moulton Public Cemetery. Rev E Hannemann presided at the Lutheran service. Pallbearers: H A Menefee Henry Fehrenkamp August Stavinoha William Winkenwaerder. Also noted are multiple local society items and health updates including Fritz Heerssen illness and Lizzie Kuhen surprise birthday event. George Taraba age 11 years 5 months 5 days, born November 5 1912.
Fire destroyed a barn and most contents belonging to Richard Pohler of Oak Grove on April 8. Mr and Mrs Pohler were in a field. a three year old child left at home ignited the blaze with matches. Neighbors saved a wagon surrey saddle and harness. Mr Pohler suffered burns to hands and neck.
Mrs August Tokarsky died at Breslau Sunday April 4. Burial was held the next day at Breslau Lutheran Cemetery with Rev Ziehe presiding. She was 75 and survived by her husband three sons and two stepsons.

Mrs. Jacob Welfl, aged 76 years, months and 12 days, died Wednesday morning. Burial was held Thursday in Moulton City Cemetery. Survived by husband and six children. An obituary will be published in The Eagle next week.

Vladik Boehm has returned from duties at the Federal court in Houston. The return marks completion of assigned responsibilities in that jurisdiction. Boehm served in a capacity related to federal court proceedings and obligations.
