Livestock Judging Team Dominates Large FFA Contest
In a statewide Livestock Judging event, 37 teams and 111 boys competed with Moulton’s team placing well. Archie Holub leads as seventh high individual in land judging, while three Moulton freshmen rank among the top in dairy cattle judging. Local coach is Wm. Lee Young.

In Hallettsville the Lavaca County 4-H elimination contest crowned winners across divisions. Senior electric won by Joycelyn Pesek and Carolyn Pesek with Komensky. Senior electric third by Margaret Supak and Patricia Hrnch of Moravia. Senior Share the Fun earned Betty Jo Fishbeck and Dianna Dietschke fourth for Moulton St Joseph. Junior winner Gladys Simecek placed second for Moulton St Joseph. Senior Farmer Cooperative Activity took Jerrilyn Hinck and Guthrie Blahuta Jr. second in Moravia. Farm and Home Safety Senior Ira Blahuta Jr. and Larry Berger captured first in Moravia.
