Mrs Frank Bohuslav Dies at Komensky Age 63
Mrs. Frank Bohuslav died at her Komensky home after a several month illness on Saturday afternoon April 9. Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. from the residence with Rev. Father Neubert and Rev. Father Netardus officiating. Interment was in Prabha cemetery. She is survived by her husband and nine children: Frank Bohuslav, Bobu mir Bohuslav, William Bohuslav, Adolph Bohuslav of Komensky, Mrs. Frank Mikulik of New Orleans, Mrs. John Mikulik of Moulton, and Annie Bohuslav of Komensky.

The Jonah presented by local talent at the opera house
The Jonah a three act comedy drama directed by Prof C C Roeder drew full houses and loud applause Tuesday evening. Local performers many named gave strong turns with Miss Bertha Papacek Miss Vlasta Shander a Miranda and Emil Papacek among the noted participants. A quartet and piano interludes accompanied the show and the Eagle encourages more local plays to follow. Proceeds benefited the Moulton School Club and Baseball Club.

Drowns At Home: One Year Old Child Dies In Yard Accident
The one year old child of Mr and Mrs A Hauslik of Ihlworth neighborhood drowned after falling into a tub of water while playing in the yard on April 3. The remains were buried in Shiner cemetery as the bagle sends condolences to the sorrowing parents.

Storm Rips Through Local Farms Causing Replanting
A severe storm last Thursday afternoon swept a rural belt between Ponton’s Creek near Shiner and Witting, bringing rain hail and cyclonic wind. The damage destroyed crops across about twenty five miles with hailstones as large as eggs. Many farmers must replant corn and cotton.

Lion Killed Near Yoakum Spark Second Sightings
N P Hagen, a farmer near Yoakum Texas, reports killing a lion on his ranch by Kelly Creek in Yavaca County and sending the hide to San Antonio for rug making. Three more lions were sighted in the same area afterward but not captured, according to Hagen.
