Forty Two Club hosts afternoon of cards with prizes

Mrs Laura Valenta hosted the 42 Club on Thursday afternoon. Four tables were arranged for players and ten games were played with Mrs Fred Krause winning the high score and claiming the club pin. The Moulton High School Literary Society met Friday March 30 1917 with vice president Hertha Papacek presiding as president was absent. Houlton business men anticipate the Seventeenth Annual Trade League Excursion of the Houston Chamber of Commerce. The special train bearing Houstonians will arrive in town at 7 15 in the morning and stay fifteen minutes.

Joe and John Ruppel of Seguin visited with their parents Prof and Mrs Martin Ruppel and returned home Thursday. Emil Schindler of Dilworth spent Sunday with Mr and Mrs Hy Schaer. Frank Seidenberger had a surprise birthday party on Wednesday night March 28. A large crowd enjoyed refreshments and well wishes for a long life. Easter celebrations bring smiles and plans for dances next Monday. Several attended Otto Renkin’s birthday party at Sunset Saturday night. Mrs Geo Kruse had her birthday celebration Tuesday with dancing into the night. Eddie and Willie Kleihge and sisters Mary and Rosie visited the Haecten family Sunday. Priscilla Club Meets for April Crafts and Tea

On Tuesday April 3 the Priscilla Club held a meeting hosted by Mrs Henry Etlinger and daughter Miss Kila. Members enjoyed crocheting tatting and embroidery while coffee and cake were served. An election will be held Saturday April 7 in Moulton to elect four trustees for the Moulton Independent School District.
