Lavaca County Grand Jury Recommends Suspended Forgery Sentence
Judge M E Kennon reconvened the Lavaca county grand jury. A 22 year old from Hallettsville Iowa soda fountain dispenser pleaded guilty to forging a $14 75 check on J C Johnson of Moulton. Jury assessed two years in the pen but recommended suspended sentence due to good character as vouched by Hallettsville merchants and others.
