Marijuana manufacturing suspect arrested Monday
A man sought in California and Morris was captured by Grundy County detectives and Morris police at 4 45 p m Monday on U S 6 near Union Street. Terry Lynn Casey 22 Joliet faces fugitive from justice charges and drug counts after authorities found 30 pounds of marijuana in a garage linked to him. Bail set at 50 000 for drugs and 40 000 for fugitive status.

WIU student driver released on bond in fatal crash

Two Joliet men held for murders in drive of two deaths
In Joliet Illinois Rudolph Moffet 26 and Alvin Smith 24 were jailed on preliminary murder charges for the shooting death of Mark Daughters 17. A second man, Larry Borom, is being sought in the death of his wife Marcia 25 after a domestic quarrel. her mother Emma Moncrief 48 was unharmed. The mother died at Silver Cross Hospital.

Lumber stolen from Joliet construction trailer
Lumber valued at 6158 was reported stolen from a construction trailer owned by Brown and Lambrecht Earthmovers in Joliet at 8:30 a.m. Monday. Deputy William Sklut said the lumber was taken from the trailer along Interstate 55 about 3.5 miles north of Illinois 47 after the lock was broken overnight. Tire tracks suggest a three-quarter ton four wheel drive truck. Taken were 200 sheets of 4-by-8-foot, three-quarter inch plywood and 200 pieces of 16-foot 2-by-4s.
