About 13 755 people visited two Morris state parks during the four day Labor Day weekend. Stratton State Park drew 11 443 visitors and Gebhard Woods 2 312 with peak crowds on Sunday. Truck Fire Extinguished on I 80 Near Walker's Corner

An Oak Lawn woman was treated and released at Morris Hospital after a two vehicle crash at Illinois 47 and White Willow Road at 11 55 a m Monday. Joan Bloomquist 20 a passenger in George McDaniel 21 of DeKalb was treated for a nose contusion. Susan Hutchinson 16 Route 4 was eastbound on White Willow Road when she stopped for a stop sign and pulled onto Illinois 47 in front of the McDaniel vehicle. Hutchinson and passenger Nancy Stevenson 15 of Yorkville were uninjured. Hutchinson’s 165 Ford and McDaniel’s 1962 Oldsmobile were heavily damaged.
