Survivors From Sunken Yacht Reach Japan Aboard Rescue Ship
Two American Spirit yacht survivors Durel Miller 28 and Nancy Perry 21 arrived in Yokohama aboard the Oriental Financier after 21 days adrift in a life raft. They were rescued October 19 by the 21,283 ton container ship Liberian registry owned by Orient Shipping of Hong Kong. Perry required a hospital stretcher for walking difficulties.

The Morris Lions Club hosts its annual Halloween Parade on Saturday. Participants line up at 4 30 p m on the courthouse lawn for judging before a 5 p m start to the Morris Theatre where cartoons play and candy is handed out.
