Ethics ruling targets officials who skip economic interest filings

12 year old charged in slaying case in Barrington
The 12-year-old brother James Gallagher was ordered held at Lake County Youth Home pending a delinquency hearing on involuntary manslaughter charges in Ei leen Gallagher’s slaying. Judge Kaufman set Oct 31 for the hearing after four hours of questioning by Assistant State’s Attorney Benedict Ori. The case follows Ei leen Gallagher being found shot in the head at the parents’ Barrington home.

English born actor Leo G. Carroll died at Presbyterian Hospital at age 80.
