Bronze Star Awarded to Gary L. Krug of Braceville
Army Specialist 4 Gary L. Krug, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur C. Krug of Braceville, received the Bronze Star Medal near Cu Chi, Vietnam on October 27 for meritorious service as a mortarman with Company D, 1st Battalion, 25th Infantry Division. Krug entered service in June 1968, was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington, prior to overseas duty in December 1968, and is a 1965 Coal City High School graduate. He will return home for leave December 18.

Water And Sewer Study Considered By County Panel

Two Women Found Shot And Stabbed In Chicago Apartment
In Chicago on Tuesday night two young women were found shot and stabbed in an apartment on Greenview Avenue. Mrs. Bernice Hall, 16, and Miss Gail Harcrow, 17, were identified as the victims. William Hall, 19, husband of one victim, was found semiconscious and charged with murder after the evidence included a .32 caliber pistol and multiple knives.
