Crash Kills 16 Year Old Yorkville Boy
Daniel Chase 16 of Yorkville died at DeKalb Public Hospital from injuries after a two car crash on U.S. 30 near Hinckley about 7 30 p m Friday. His 17 year old passenger Deborah Kirk of Yorkville was listed in fair condition. Raymond Wilson 30 and Robert Wilson 28 of Aurora were killed. The Sterling District 1 state police investigate and slippery roads are suspected. Funeral services for Daniel Chase were held at Cross Lutheran Church.

Four Treated After Weekend Auto Accidents

Ditch Cave-In Injures Man at Construction Site
Morris man 53 suffered cracked ribs after a ditch cave-in at Green Acres subdivision on N Division St near I 80. He was buried to the neck before coworkers freed him and he is listed in fair condition at Morris Hospital. The incident occurred during sewage excavation work by O'Brien and Son Construction Co.

Local Stolen Car Found Youths Held in Iowa Theft Case
Two teen suspects, Roger Long and Philip Cheek, both about 18, are in Davenport police custody after allegedly stealing a car in Davenport last Monday, abandoning it in Seneca, then stealing Edward Enquist’s car in Morris and taking it to Rock Island where it was recovered. Car Demolished In Crash Near Wilmington

Worker Suffers Head Injury on Mobil Oil Site
Robert Schaefer a 38 year old resident of Rte 1 was injured in a construction accident at 11 a.m. Friday on the Mobil Oil site in Channahon Township.
