Jury Docket Opens in Grundy Circuit Court
Forty three prospective jurors were called for a Grundy County circuit court session at 10 a.m. Wednesday after jurors reported at 10 a.m. Monday. Six of 35 cases were settled before hearings with multiple damages claims including 50 000 against Unified Engineers and Constructors for a 1966 Dresden Nuclear site fall and 40 000 against Gunderson for a 1967 repair related incident. Continuances were granted in six cases including a 2.3 million county tear gas gun accident and a 300 000 auto crash impairment suit. Firemen to Serve Pancakes Sunday at Morris Station
Morris volunteer firemen will serve pancakes and sausage Sunday at the fire station at Wauponsee and Main. Breakfast runs from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. A new emergency truck delivered recently will be on display. The breakfasts, held twice yearly, are funded by public support. General chairman Cryer Bryant, with assistants Sherri Hexdall and John Popidin.
Taxes Paid Early To Aid Fremont Schools
In Fremont Ohio crowds lined up over an hour to pay next year’s taxes to help keep the schools open. Treasurer Virgil Swartzlander said more than 235000 was collected in Sandusky County’s largest single day of tax receipts.

Parks Resigns Post on Coal City Board
Thomas Parks, commissioner of finance for the Village of Coal City since May 1967, resigned and his term ends Wednesday.
