Byron Amundson 71 of 925 E North St was appointed Morris Township supervisor to fill the post left by Phillip Braun who died Oct 16. Amundson was the sole applicant and was approved unanimously by the township board on Fl motion by Sherman Hexdall. He will serve until spring elections. He retired in 1970 from Federal Paper Board and has a daughter, a son in law, and three grandchildren. The board also approved auditing the township books by Lloyd Finland at once.
