Fire destroys Illinois club house arson suspected
A Wednesday night blaze destroyed a $125,000 two story club house on Illinois 129 about 75 miles south of I 55. Wilmington Fire Chief Chester Moberly said the building was engulfed on arrival at 10 03 p m. with 12 units at scene. Fire crews fought until 5 30 a m with a roof flare up at 3 37 a m. Investigators suspect arson and a state fire marshal was at the scene. The land is owned by Donald Koerner of Coal City. the owners were not identified.

Remains Critical After Truck Train Crash Near Morris
Lester Anderson, 57, of 102 Center St. Gardner, remained in critical condition in the ICU at St. Joseph Hospital Joliet after his truck struck a Chicago Rock Island and Pacific Railroad freight train at a crossing east of Morris and south of U.S. 6 on October 21.
