In Grundy County two Republicans and two Democrats won county offices. Circuit clerk Robert Williamson was reelected to a sixth term with 6 165 votes to Democrat David Barr's 5 834. County clerk Lana Phillips defeated James Williams by 7 640 to 4 875. Coroner James Reeves, a Democrat, claimed a second term with 8 490 votes to George Hendrickson's 3 841. State's attorney Charles Zalar ran unopposed and secured 6 588 votes.
