Five Grundy Chamber Members Elected To Board Of Directors
Grundy County Chamber of Commerce president James Crupi announced the election of five members to three year terms on the board effective January 1. Nominees Diane Eisenbeis William North Charles Turner Richard Wackerman and Ronald Wohlwend were declared elected after no additional nominations were submitted. They will attend upcoming meetings as plans for 1974 are discussed. Retiring directors include Harwood Judson Olson Provancal and Purdue. The chamber will seek public input for the 1974 program.

Tragic two year old killed in Illinois crash
A two year old boy, Shawn D. Melburn, son of Phillip and Carol Melburn of Braidwood, died at the scene when a car on Illinois 53 went out of control and flipped. His mother, also injured, was hospitalized in Joliet. Two other Braidwood residents were injured in a separate crash on Illinois 113 near Custer Park.

Grundy County Schools Face Reduced State Aid for 1973-74
Grundy County public schools will receive about $171,000 less in state aid for the 1973-74 year. The county's 12 districts total $1,247,040.76 in aid, down from $1,417,808.30, due largely to a new state formula and small countywide enrollment.
