Parachutist Rescued After Tree Landing Near Morris
Lester Cox Jr. of Peru parachuted from 3 000 feet in a Cessna 172 and landed in a tree on the Carl Harmon property opposite Morris Airport. He was saved by Morris Fire Department and taken to Morris Hospital in fair condition with back injuries. Pilot Bill Hall of Spring Valley and safety officer Dick Parker provided details.
